Many of us drink water only when we are thirsty, which in no way is enough. Doctors warn that drinking water should become a habit, because the thirst is a sign of a dehydration.

In our body water is solvent, cooler and transporter of mineral matters and other important elements. It’s an essential part of every tissue. It makes 70 percent of our bodies, 85 percent of the blood, 80 percent of the brain, 70 percent of the muscles and 10 percent of the teeth.

It is essential for body temperature regulation, transportation of nutrients and excretion of waste, it maintains the blood volume and provides a balance in the body – homeostasis

Hard or soft

Often you can hear the dilemma of whether the water we drink is good or not. Most often it’s about whether the water is hard or soft. Hard water contains more calcium and magnesium, which means that it’s better for our health.

According to a British study, residents in towns with soft water have a ten percent greater risk of Heart and Blood Vessel Diseases. But, It has been proved that our health is far more affected by food we eat than the type of water we drink.
The colour of the water speaks of its quality to. On the white surface water should not have a yellowish colour. The amount of lime scale in the water can be checked by simple experiment. Make a pot of black tea and leave it to cool down. If there is a greasy trace on the surface the water contains more calculus.

Human can survive just a few days without water. If you drink less than you need, the body to create prerequisites for gallbladder inflammation, kidney stones, inflammation of the urinary tract … – Every day you should drink at least one and a half – two litters of water. It is almost impossible to drink too much water because healthy kidneys need water to work properly.

Substances that are soluble in water will be absorbed in the digestive tract no matter how much water you drink. Higher air temperature, increases the loss of fluid from the body, because larger amounts of water vaporites from your cells. Dehydration leads vertigo, fatigue, headaches, weakness and loss of concentration. Lack of water, particularly in those who suffer from low or high blood pressure can worsen their condition.
<div

Humanitarian organization “Alcohol concern” pointed out that these foundlings are alarming, considering that drinking is an increasing problems in female population in Britain. CT brain scans have been performed on 158 volunteers, including 76 men and women who suffer from alcoholism and 82 healthy people. Project leader Professor Karl F. Man MD from the Department of Addictive Behavior & Addiction Medicine of the Heidelberg University, pointed out that his team managed to establish that the alcohol addiction is developing much faster in woman than in men, which means faster progression of events that lead to addiction and early manifestation of harmful consequences.

Research results have shown that the brain damage occurs faster in women than in men. “We found greater brain atrophy in alcoholics than in healthy people,” said Professor Man. “Also, it is determined that brain mass reduction is the same in men and woman, but with women it takes significantly less time for it to happen.”

These results confirmed previous findings about the harmful effect of alcohol, such as mental disorders, heart damage, liver disease and diseases of Muscular and Skeletal Systems. It is known that all of these harmful consequences appear earlier in women than in men, even when they are in much lesser degree of exposure to alcohol, pointed out Professor Man.

Flavanoli from cocoa improve blood flow to the brain, shows study published in the magazine “Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment.”

Experts have found a beneficial cocoa effect to the flow of blood in brief and long-term tests to the brain and, and they believe that is responsible for the positive effect of antioxidant flavanoli activity.

The authors suggest that better long-term flow of blood has a positive impact on cognitive abilities, but also provides protection against dementia.

Science research have confirmed what was known from the Aztec’s time – cocoa encourage brain to create enorfina (brain sedative and anesthetics), which leads to relaxation, and eliminate stress and pain.

Cocoa stimulates dopamine and serotonin secretion (carriers of brain information), which increase mood level- the effect is the reason why depressed people eat huge quantities of chocolate.

Cocoa is the source of mental health and good mood, rather than synthetic drugs has no adverse effects.
<div
